This post will be brief on text and rich on pictures, appealing to those few readers who may be more curious about the layout and facilities of LVS. I've previously posted pics of a few of the buildings, but mostly the insides, with very little 'orienting' information. Over the past week, and particularly since getting our camera battery charger, I've taken photos of many of the buildings and some of the grounds. I also photographed the map that's provided in the 'Lifestyle Guide' for each guest.
We were initially in room 10, then moved to room 7 when someone cancelled at the last minute. Being so close to the Main Centre has been a blessing! However, we'll be moving to room 1 when this program ends on Tuesday as someone has booked room 7 for the next program. Room 1 isn't too much further, but it is all uphill from the Main Centre. That said, the Main Centre uphill from the Naturopath offices and the gym, which we've walked to fine each day. Room 10 is also a much larger room (we're a bit cramped in room 1) and is the only room in the place with a bathtub : ) Glad I packed my rubber duckie!
There are 29 guest rooms and capacity for any given program is apparently 34 guests. They typically average 28 guests per program. Our current program has 30 guests and the next program is apparently about the same.
In terms of elevation, the Front Office, Naturopaths and Gym are all on the lowest level. It's then a continuous uphill to the Main Centre and everything higher up from it on the map. A valley separates the buildings in the middle of the map from the buildings on the right side of the map, though these buildings themselves are also all uphill from the naturopaths, etc. This valley apparently is frequented by kangaroos, though we haven't seen one yet since we've been here...

Yep, you're in the right place! |

Map of the four LVS hiking trails located between the pool and the main centre. The dot at the top of the map is a gazebo on top of a mountain ridge from which you can apparently see the ocean, an inland lake and lots of other goodies. It's only a 2.4km walk, so there's a decent chance I'll go for a round before our time here ends : ) [no promises...] |

The Naturopaths live here. The counselling, morning stretch classes and Saturday morning spiritual meeting also happen in this building! |

The building with rooms 7 & 8, along with two colonic treatment rooms, directly across from the Main Centre, not quite visible to the right. |

Looking up the path from the Main Centre uphill toward Room 1. The A-frame building is where they give facials, manicures and pedicures... |
There are plenty of other buildings of course, but hopefully this gives a good sense for the LVS grounds!
