Rodney at work with his 'magic fingers' |
Rodney decided to have a quick check of Tammy's back and had her sit down in a chair. He did a few quick 'chiropractic' type adjustments using just pressure from his fingers and she got incredibly increased range of motion in lifting her left leg and turning her head side to side. As for the knotted muscle, we'll book some treatments for next time and see what he can do!

Breakfast Art!! |
Breakfast this morning was once again a delightful event enjoyed by all. As shown in the photo, breakfast included two poached eggs layered with tomatoes and a portabello base on a bed of baby spinach with lamb feta and a very tasty polenta bread.
We spent the last of the morning resting in our room with Tammy working on some written exercises in preparation for her empowerment class in the afternoon. I put on a load of laundry, hung it to dry when it was done and then headed off to the steam bath around 11:30. Tammy made her way over to the colonic treatment room for her second go round at noon. Today's treatment was apparently much less 'fruitful' than the previous one, but that's not uncommon, apparently. No videos this time - no worries mites!
After a lunch as beautiful as our breakfast, we headed down to the main centre for Tammy's empowerment class at 2:30. I spent some time in the gym, chatted with one of the other guests here, John, for about an hour and then read a book ("Hudson Taylor" by Janet & Geoff Benge) until Tammy finished her session, 1 hour later than scheduled! Must've been a good session!
At lunch time we had a 'sales pitch' of sorts on joining the group tomorrow morning at 4am to head off and climb a local peak called Mount Cooroora. Climbing this mountain is a bit of a local hobby and there is a yearly challenge to see who can run 2km, climb & descend the mountain and then run 2km back to town the fastest. It's called "King of the Mountain" and several staff here have apparently done it in the past.
Tammy asked about any points lower down where she might stop and the guide, Allan, said there was a good place lower down where one could stop and that if Tammy could make it that far but not come down, he would carry her. I'm not saying that I doubt he could make it, but he's about 5'8", maybe 160lbs and over 50 years old! In the end, on Joanne's advice, Tammy decided to take a pass this go 'round - maybe next program! Just as well; we have to be at the main centre for 4am to leave in time to catch the sunrise during the climb!

Tammy with Joanne Roche, LVS' Counsellor |
The evening's lecture was again given by Gary and the topic was about dentition. We're particularly interested in this topic because of the proposed connection between mercury toxicity from dental amalgam fillings and MS. We'll talk more about this in a future post but in summary of Gary's lecture, there's actually quite a large body of research and experience from all over the world that supports the position that amalgam fillings can cause a fair bit of harm. Gary also touched on problems he's treated in folks who have had root canals - also quite an interesting topic with some dramatic case examples!
That Chi machine looks weird! You guys are getting a lot of new experiences! Happy Sabbath!
